Achieved CFD (Certified Floral Designer) with the American Institute of Floral Design in 2022 after completing hands on classes and formal testing both online and at the Houston School of Flowers. Currently working as a floral designer and continuing to attend advanced technique, professional development classes. Previous experience prior to pursuing floristry includes: Interior design, sewing and sales of high-end drapery, managing a retail outlet specializing in marine hardware and gifts, teaching advanced sailing to young sailors, serving and acting as a hostess, organizing client appreciation evenings for corporate events, raising two children and home schooling during a global pandemic.
